Hookah ShinDig: Top Five Treats to Serve At Any Gathering

Today I was riffling through some of my bookmarks getting ready to host a Hookah Shindig next week. While I was doing that I figured I would share my top five favorite recipes for party snacks...

1) Nutella & Cheesecake Cupcakes:
For those of you who haven't found the wonder that is Nutella in America, all I can say is that it is by far one of the most delicious spreads I've ever come across... Mix that and Cheesecake, my favorite dessert to ever exist, then you've essentially purchased my soul. Due to that, this is by far the best recipe I've ever come across on the internet. If you'd like to try out this delicious treat then you can go ahead and visit Cooking Classy's Delicious Blog and read a little more. This is the type of heavy treat I'd like to have with a heavy or spiced hookah.

2) Hasselback Garlic Cheesy Bread
This is a delicious Creation I found over at Lauren's Latest, while cheesy bread may seem like a really boring item to bring to the table, the style that she has added, and the flavor that it brings to the table puts this particular recipe on a whole new level. On top of that the Character this woman shows on her blog is fantastic. Also, a friend of mine shared an awesome Italian Inspired Hookah Flavor with me that would go great with this. I'll be sure to post it soon.

3) Baklava
While I normally prefer using the recipes I've found on other blogs, I've gotta give it to the Food Network this time... Baklava is by far one of my favorite dishes mainly due to the fact that Pistachios are in my top 10 best noms. Therefor any dish that requires copious amounts of it; must be delicious. On top of that its portable, unique, and sweet. A perfect dish to add to any occasion.

4) Chocolate Chip Cannolis
If you've never had a Cannoli, don't... It will ruin all other foods for you. Moving on the Cannoli is a small tube of fried pastry dough that has typically been filled with Riccota. However this particular recipe from Pia Recipes is stuffed with a delicious chocolate chip cream. Fair warning though, its a long and painstaking process to make these. Which is the only reason this dish is coming in fourth for me.

5) A Melon Basket
Sometimes its better to just go with the simple flavors in life. However, just because the flavor is simple doesn't mean your food needs to be. One of my favorite Treats to make is a watermelon basket. It's sweet, healthy, but still brings a unique dish to the table with its awesome design. Typically, this is a food I put together for my vegan friends because that way I don't have to spend 4-5 hours looking for a vegan recipe I will enjoy as well. I learned how to make these lifesavers over at Mummy Deals.
